About Post a Bargain

Post a Bargain is a virtual space meant to help the smart online shopper sift through the endless online listings to find the Great Bargains. We do this by allowing anybody to post a link and description of whatever they are selling from an online marketplace (Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon marketplace, etc). Then, the Post a Bargain community (you!) votes up the truly great bargains. Together we all simplify and bring further efficiency to online shopping. We are proudly based on Pligg whose original source was authored by Ricardo Galli who was inspired by digg.com.

Post my Bargain . You will need the link, a description and preferably a picture, and credits.
Vote for other people’s bargains. Go to the Possible Bargains section and vote for all that you think are Great Bargains!

Browse through the Great Bargains section of whatever item you are looking for by clicking on the items name.
Didn’t see anything that looked particularly interesting? Click on the RSS icon next to the item that you are looking to subscribe to that item’s Great Bargains feed. Once subscribed, you will receive all of that item’s bargains that get voted Great Bargains. (You can unsubscribe immediately whenever you want)

Can’t find the item you are looking for in the sidebar? We are constantly growing and would love to hear what new items to add, so please send us an email at customerservice@postabargain.com and we will look into adding it.

How do I post my bargain? (I have more than 0 credits)

  1. Click on Post my Bargain .
  2. Enter the Url of the listing ( Example: http:\\www.ebay-yourbargainlink.com) and click Continue.
  3. Enter a Title for the Item/Bargain and fill out the rest of the fields for the item that you are posting. It is very important that you select a category for the item.
  4. Submit!

How do I post my bargain ( I have 0 credits)?

  1. Click on Post my Bargain
  2. If you don't have any credits (You can see how many credits you have in the top orange links.) It will give you a chance to input any promotional codes. Once you input the code you just need to click on Post my Bargain again.
  3. If you have 0 credits and no coupon code you will need to add credits with a Paypal account.
  4. Once you have added credits you will return to the main menu click on Post my Bargain again.
  5. Insert  the url (Example:  http:\\www.yourbargainlink.com) and click Continue.
  6. Enter a Title for the Item/Bargain and fill out the rest of the fields for the item that you are posting. It is very important that you select a category for the item.
  7. Submit!

How do I add credits?

Through Coupon Codes

Coupon Codes can be entered from the main page by clicking on the Submit Coupon Code link in the top orange link bar. When you click on Post my Bargain if your credit count is 0 you will be given the option to enter a Coupon Code. Coupon codes can only be used once per user. If you are having problems with it please contact us at coupons@postabargain.com so that we can solve the problem immediately.

Through Paypal

After you have clicked on “I don’t have a code” you will have the option of typing how many credits you would like to add. Clicking Add Credits will take you to the PayPal interface to add credits. After you have completed the PayPal process you will return to PostaBargain.com and your credit count will be updated. If you have any problems with this process please contact us at 1 888-POSTAB1 (1-888-7678221) so that we can help you immediately.

Also if you continuously give donations to the charity of your choice and you email us a copy of a receipt of the donation we will give you 1 credit for every 15 dollars that you have donated.

How do I find something specific?
Just type anything related to the item you are looking for in the search box and click search.

I want to receive the top bargains of a certain category periodically.
Great ! Just look at the categories on the left and click on the RSS feed for that specific category ( i.e. Xbox 360, wii, jeep, silver, etc) and you will receive the Great Bargains as the community votes them up on that certain category.

What will increase my karma?
Posting Bargains and continuously voting for others bargains
Posting Bargains that end up receiving sufficient votes and become Great Bargains (karma increases substantially!).

What will decrease my karma?
Not visiting, voting, or posting bargains often.

Why do I care about karma?
Every month users that have maintained their karma above 9.5 will receive 10 credits.

Why isn't my listing in the front page?
Once your bargain is posted it will go to the Possible Bargains category. There it needs other users’ votes to make it to the main page, so get the word out about your bargain!
